Insight to Gavel Club

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization with chapters worldwide. Its primary goal is to help members become more effective communicators and leaders through structured programs. At Toastmasters meetings, members engage in activities such as prepared speeches, impromptu speaking(known as Table Topics), and constructive feedback sessions. The organization follows a curriculum that guides members through various levels of speaking and leadership challenges, helping them progress from basic skills to more advanced techniques. Toastmasters also emphasizes mentorship, allowing experienced members to support and guide newer ones. This helps build confidence, clarity, and the ability to convey ideas effectively.
Gavel Clubs are affiliated with Toastmasters and are often geared towards young people in schools or colleges. Both Toastmasters and Gavel Clubs provide a supportive environment for members to practice speaking, receive constructive feedback, and develop their communication and leadership abilities. Gavel Clubs follow a similar structure to Toastmasters meetings but are tailored to the needs of younger participants.
MES Alumni Association (MESAA) kicked off MESAA Toastmasters Club in March 2022. As the next step towards our higher accomplishments & contributions that we hope could serve a beneficial purpose, MESAA Toastmasters Club wishes to be an exponent in proposing the formation of the MES Gavels Club – Where Young Leaders Shine!

Our vision for the MES Gavel Clubs is to serve as a platform where students can enhance their communication skills, strengthen leadership qualities, and gain confidence through mentorship, enjoyable experiences, and camaraderie. Let’s embark on this journey with the goal of fostering confident communicators and emerging young leaders!
