BK Mohammed Kunhi Sir who served as principal of MES from 1978 – 2001 was a revolutionary leader and academician. His efforts were instrumental in building MES to the world class institution it is today. In his honor we are conducting the BK Mohammed Kunhi Elocution Competition.

3pm-3:10pm- MC – Intro and Contest Rules/Guidelines
3:10pm-4:25pm – Junior Category contest
4:25pm-4:35pm – Certificate and Group photo with all Junior Contestants
4:35-4:45 – Short Break
4:45pm- 5:50pm – Senior Category contest
5:50pm – Certificate and Group photo with all Senior Contestants
6:00-6:30 – BREAK
6:30pm – 8pm – Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony
Rules and regulations
- To provide a calm atmosphere for the contestants, parents are kindly requested to refrain from bringing children/siblings of participants below 10 years of age.
- Participants are requested to wear formal (preferably black suit & white shirt) during their speech session. Wearing school uniforms during or before the competition is strictly prohibited in order to maintain anonymity and ensure every school/contestant gets an opportunity of a fair judgement.
- Students may carry a pair of their uniform along, which they will be allowed to wear after the contest is over & before the awards ceremony begins. Here, students can proudly demonstrate the identity of the participating school.
- Refrain from speaking about sensitive topics such as politics and religion or anything that might incite hate or controversy.
- Schools are reminded that the age criteria for Junior participants is (10 to 13 years as of 29th Sep 2023) and Senior participants is (14 years and above as of 29th Sep 2023) Any applicant that does not fall into this category will automatically be disqualified.
- Any applicant that has not fulfilled the details of the competition to its utmost requirement will be contacted for correction once. Not adhering to such will disqualify the participants automatically.
- All participating students and guests must adhere to a civil Code of Conduct. Contestants are urged to undertake healthy competition and appreciation of fellow participants. Any participants or attendees disturbing the proceedings of the competition will be immediately redirected from the hall and result in explusion from the contest.
- Decision of the judges will be absolute with no room for appeal whatsoever.
